After reading Canoecraft, Nick called up to purchase some plans and before he knew it Joan had enlisted his help to produce a canoe building video as a companion to Canoecraft. Nick (www.offermanwoodshop.com) rounded up his buddy Jimmy Diresta (www.jimmydiresta.com) and drove to Peterborough to pick up the building materials and work out the details. We feel honored to have worked with two such talented versatile artists. 'HUCKLEBERRY' IN PARKS AND RECREATION
Our favourite canoe builder and actor Nick Offerman has been busy with NBC's new comedy series Parks and Recreation. Nick stars as boss Ron Swanson in this half hour mocumentary series that looks at the exciting world of local government. Nick emailed to let us know that a recent episode entitled "The Possum" has been partially shot in his LA wood work shop and will show pics of his recently completed canoe 'Huckleberry'.
