Boats For SalePygmy Coho 17' Touring KayakThe Coho is one of the most popular of the Pygmy designs. Ted chose it for Kayaks You Can Build because it is a good example of a multi-chined hull and deck kayak kit. He opted to use frames to support the hull while he was building it - deciding that following the manufacturers advice to wire long, unsupported strips of plywood together was too dodgy to be predictable - this way he is sure he ended up with the true shape the designer intended. The hull is stained with a green aniline dye which is quite stunning against the bright wood. This kayak is fast and graceful - great for day touring or extended cruising.    |
