Hi

I thought I would send you a few pix of my boat. I finished it last year and only took some pix of it this year. (easier to build than to photograph)

I decided on a butternut hull ( I milled my own bead and cove) The accent design is basswood with copper inlay. The outwales are hard maple. The seats are black walnut. The bow is black walnut with a copper inlay.

All wood except for the maple was either bought or harvested in log form.

At the age of 47 and with 33 years of woodworking I found the woodworking part in a few boat specific tasks challenging. With zero years of Fiberglass experience I found this procedure a wee bit difficult but it worked out well with a bit of scraping.

Peter
