SOLARIUM
In our workshop over the winter of 2002, Ted and our crew of Craig, Jonathan, Heather, Jeff and Joan, prefabricated this 8' x 20' solarium. Altho we had never taken on this type of project before, it represented a combination of our boat building skills and the products we use every day..... western red cedar, West System epoxy, Cetol finish. The solarium was shipped in six pieces to Toronto where it now graces a home in Forest Hill. Ted and Jonathan installed it with Steve Hoddy from Steve's Sheet Metal in Bridgenorth, Ontario who made the copper flashing and trim. It was in interesting experience in building with wood and glass - it doesn't float but it will withstand years of wind and weather and we are proud to add it to our list of achievements.
