OUR NEW/OLD HOME and WORKSHOP ON MATCHETT LINE ![]() Last year while cruising down the Otonabee River in Puffin, Ted spotted a century farmhouse with a large workshop and barns, overlooking the river. NOT that we needed another move.... since coming to Peterborough in 1995 to help with the Canoe Musuem we have had our share of shifting around. Although the original plan was to move our workshop into the museum and be part of a working display this never did happen. AND after working at home for most of our 30 years in business we were not happy renting space in Peterborough and never being home. The property Ted had spotted was by coincidence for sale, so we bought it and moved house and shop to 1786 Matchett Line on May 24/01. An ideal location, it is close to town and the river, and altho the renovations continue on the workshop, we are very happy to be working at home again. Many thanks to our many friends who helped out with the move and to Louis Taylor for the inspiration. |
