My Stems Split During Steambending. Do I Need To Start Over

A customer recently sent us this shot of a split that occurred in one of his stem laminations during steambending. Since the split had not passed all the way through, he wondered whether epoxy might be sufficient to repair it, or whether he had to go to the trouble of preparing new stock.

After taking a look, Ted figured epoxy would serve to repair a split of this nature. It might frustrate the perfectionists out there, but hopefully this is reassuring to anyone hoping to avoid the time expense of trying again for the sake of single strip!
