Woodstrip Canoe Features in New Artwork by Karen Tamminga-Patton

We were flattered and pleasantly surprised to receive an unusual request from Alberta-based artist Karen Tamminga-Patton recently - would we mind if she used one of our canoes as a painting reference? Of course we said yes, and less than a month later she shared "Confluence."

This 48"x36" acrylic-on-birch-panel painting was inspired by the theme of currents. In Karen's words, it features "two images that use flow. Water current; air current. They will meet, given the trajectory they are on..."

It's also a lovely tribute to a woodstrip canoe, and we're proud to have a very small part in helping this come about. You can see the images below, and find more of Karen's work at https://www.tammingapaton.com.
